QuickTime ActiveX 컨트롤을 찾을 수 없다

QucikTime을 버전업하였더니 작동이 제대로 되지 않았다. (Vista 환경)

"오류46: QuickTime ActiveX 컨트롤을 로드하거나 찾을 수 없습니다."

애플에서 다음 글을 찾아내었다.

이 글의 내용중 핵심을 발췌한다.

Step 1: Download subinacl.msi from the link
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=23418 and install it.
Step 2: Download my modified version of reset.cmd from http://gerger.com/o/assets/x/?id=22540 and save the file in 'C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools'.
Step 3: Open Command Prompt and type the following without quotes (hit Enter):
'cd c:\program files\windows resource kits\tools'
Step 4: Now type 'reset.cmd' and hit Enter (without quotes)
You will see the Command Line Tool running for some seconds. The issue should have been fixed and Quicktime should run again.

요약하자면,
위 링크로부터 화일을 두개 받는다.

1. subinacl.msi 실행
2. reset.cmd 실행.

하지만, 내 경우에는 이대로 따라도  제대로 실행되지 않았다.
마침 이 글 밑에 소개된 다음의 링크를 따라가보았다.

이대로 따랐더니, 이제서야 QuickTime이 제대로 실행되었다.
초보자에게는 조금 복잡할 수 있겠다.
하여 간단히 정리해본다.

1. 아래 두곳에서 자료를 받는다.

2. 'Runme.cmd', 'Set MM7+QT RegPermissions.cmd'
두개의 화일 준비한다.
이 화일은 MatsB님이 text로 제공하신 것이나, 필자가 화일로 만들었다.

3. 1의 자료 가운데에서
a. psexec.exe
b. SetACL.exe
이 두개와
2의 자료들 즉 도합 4개를 C:\Fix에다 넣는다. (C:\Fix 생성한 후)

4. Runme.cmd 위에 마우스를 갖다댄 후, 우측 버튼 클릭하여 '관리자권한으로 실행'을 누른다.
죽 화면이 위로 흐르며 여럿을 처리한 후 마친다.
필자의 경우에는 이것으로 해결되었다.

5. 이상은 전적으로 MatsB의 안내를 따라 되 소개하였을 뿐이다.
아래 책임한계를 꼭 숙지하기 바란다.

6. MatsB님의 방법은 레지스트리를 건드리기 때문에 다소 위험부담이 있다.
나의 경우엔 첫번째 방법이 실패하였지만, 성공한 경우도 많다 하니, 우선은 첫번째 방법을 시도하기 바란다.
이 방법으로 성공하면 굳이 MatsB 방법을 따를 필요는 없을 것이다.


Vista는 내겐 정말 문제를 많이 일으킨다.
이번 경우엔 보안 때문에 그렇지만,
화일 처리 속도라든가, 툭하면 IE가 죽는 문제 등등....
차라리 XP로 돌아가고 싶은 생각이 들 때가 많다.
